The Scenic Route: permission to be late

There is a schedule everyone seems to have agreed on without asking you: the milestones, the metrics, the right age for everything. The Scenic Route is Chiruki’s story of someone caught inside that clock — the album opens in a glass cage at 4:00 AM, scrolling through other people’s highlight reels and whispering “Happy for You” through slightly gritted teeth.

Then, song by song, the grip loosens. “Circuit Breaker” pulls the plug. “Ceiling Fan Waltz” finds a slow dance in a small room. By the time the title track arrives, the destination has stopped mattering quite so much.

It is a tiny world, like all Chiruki worlds — but this one is shaped like a road, and it is perfectly fine to drive it slowly.
