Inside The Glass Cage

The Glass Cage is set somewhere painfully familiar: a life measured in pixels, where every morning begins with other people’s perfect breakfasts and every evening ends with the blue glow of comparison. Chiruki gives that world sharp little names — “Neon Eucharist”, “Story Ring”, “Paper Tweet” — and then walks her protagonist straight through it.

What makes the album hers is the turn. The envy doesn’t explode; it dissolves. The “Counterfeit Waltz” slows, the metrics stop mattering, and what’s left is a person who no longer needs the glass to reflect anything back.

A pop record about the panopticon, sung like a lullaby against it.
