Static Marmalade: the broadcast breakup

Static Marmalade is NyxFire’s messiest, funniest, most dangerous record: a breakup processed not in private but on air. The relationship rotted from the inside; the protagonist decides the world gets the footage.

“Static Feed” opens the channel. “Condemned Property” tours the ruins. “The Receipt” is exactly the song its title promises, and “Teapot Skull” boils the whole thing down to domestic surrealism.

There is no closure here, refused on principle — just the public performance of anger as its own kind of honesty. Petty? Absolutely. That’s the genre. Sometimes the healthiest thing is a very loud, very sticky broadcast.
