Concrete Confetti: one Cairo night
Concrete Confetti is a single Cairo night, told from street level. A Street King narrator runs the route: rooftop sunset, “Mr. Taxi’s Orbit” through neighborhoods that never sleep, “Balcony Opera” drifting down between buildings, sunrise finally breaking over the 6th of October Bridge.
Zeenat’s alchemy is the album’s engine — noise into music, struggle into swagger, “Copper Wire” into gold. “Pocket Kings” and “Glass Handshake” sketch the economy of the streets in two images each.
It is raw where Statues in the Heat was gilded: mahraganat energy, poet’s eye, and a city that throws its own confetti — made of concrete, catching the light anyway.
