The Geography of Small Things is a breakup album at microscope resolution. Its protagonist — an emotional scientist, an anxious yearner — catalogs the data points everyone else dismisses: the unpeeled orange, the unshared bird, the “Table Four” seating that says everything.

“Pith & Rind” runs the orange-peel theory to its conclusion. “Cardinal in the Glass” tests the bird theory against a silent phone. “Gravity in Greyscale” measures the exact weight of a feeling turning off.
