The mistake she prided herself on avoiding is already hers, wearing a different name. “The Same Mistake (Prove It)” shatters the smug mirror, and “Quiet Hurricane (Forgive Me)” becomes the record’s only genuinely quiet moment, the stillness inside the eye. Then the rebuild starts, not as superiority but as recognition. “Shared Firework (Stay)” and “Parallel Highways (Hold On)” replace combustion with communion, until “Eye To Eye (Nineteen)” speaks directly to the girl in the photograph, not as a cautionary relic, but as a peer driving the same highway twenty-seven years apart.
